This is a biocompatible metal-ceramic alloy based on cobalt. The alloy is free of nickel, beryllium and gallium and its properties meet the requirements of the standards DIN EN ISO 22674, type 4, and EN ISO 9693 for ceramic alloys. Due to the low hardness of 285 HV10, it can be drilled, milled and polished well and is therefore also particularly suitable for primary situations. This cobalt-based metal-ceramic alloy is a medical device according to RL 93/42 EWG and is marked with: 0044.
